Cut From The Land are Barry and Kirsty Cameron, a husband and wife team based in rural Aberdeenshire. We make and sell linocut prints with original designs inspired by the land around us.
Kirsty has a Fine Art degree, specialising in printmaking, and creates the original artwork which is then hand carved into lino and printed in limited edition on our wee press.
Barry takes endless reference photos of the local landscape, recording the changing seasons; from the abundant burst into life of Spring through to the dying stillness of Winter.
We both have a keen interest in nature and folklore. The beauty in hidden things and the everyday are a huge inspiration and our prints often feature weeds, hedgerow, plant roots, and the creatures that creep around them.
When we're not printing we enjoy long walks in the countryside with our two daft spaniels Button and Luna.
